It's nice to step into if you are hot from going to the fair, races, flea market, or strolling Central. The Downs is not a high-class, fancy place. No beer.Īll in all, I would definitely recommend this skating rink. There is an in-house snack bar: pizza, hot dogs - bowling alley food, basically. They laced up a family member’s skates for us, switched out skates that were hurting, etc.ħ. Look on Groupon first before you buy at the counter.
There are plenty of walkers available for kids and they’re by the entrances/exits.ĥ. It makes no sense why there are not very many.Ĥ.
If you are an adult size and need/want the walkers for support, there are very few available - maybe 2 or 3 - and they are first come first served. *This is my only negative comment about this place.*ģ. I was hesitant, but in the end it really was safe and everything was there when I retrieved it. I gave my purse to the guy behind the counter and he assured me it was safe. We made a pile of our stuff on the bleachers. There are no lockers for your personal belongings. There are designated skating times open to the public.
This is a very fun family outing that is enjoyable for all.
